I’ve heard many questions from Christian, as well as non-christians where they want to know how can you tell if someone is a real follower of Jesus? Many people claim that they belief in Jesus, and claim themselves as Christians, how can we tell which ones are real? I suppose it can be answered easily with a simple question “What is the easiest way to know that this tree is a lemon tree?” The answer is of course by its fruit! (well unless you’re an expert on trees, then you would know just buy looking at it)
The same ideas can be applied to Christians, how do we know that a person really is filled with the Holy Spirit? He/she will produce the fruit of Holy Spirit! What is the fruit of Holy Spirit? Paul wrote in Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
This week we will start our discussion about fruits of Holy Spirits, we will discuss the meaning for each of them and how can we practice it in our life if we haven’t done so. This week specifically we will be talking about the fruit of Love, Joy and Peace.
Please join our discussion this week November 2nd at 7:00pm.
